Agents which upregulate CD55 [decay accelerating factor (DAF)] expression [Array]

(Submitter supplied) (Submitter supplied) Identification of transcription factors (TFs) which upregulate human CD55 expression. CD55 was originally described as a cellular complement regulator that protects self-cells from autologous complement attack. It is now known as cellular regulator which controls many functions of cells, as examples T cell commitment to T effector cells vs Foxp3+ T regulatory cells, B2 cell Ab production, and receptor tyrosine kinase (RTK) growth factor receptor function. more...

KLF4 Time Course

(Submitter supplied) A stably transfected inducible system for KLF4 was established in RKO cells as previously described (Chen et al., 2001; Chen et al., 2003). This cell line, called EcR-RKO/KLF4, contains stably transfected receptors for the insect hormone, ecdysone (EcR), and a full-length mouse KLF4 cDNA driven by a promoter that responds to ecdysone and its analogue, ponasterone A. Cells were treated with 5 µM ponasterone A (PA), for various time durations. more...

Transgenic Krüppel-like factor 4 induction: time course

Analysis of RKO colon cancer cell line treated for up to 24 hours with ponasterone A to induce expression of a full-length, transgenic Krüppel-like factor 4 (KLF4). KLF4 is an epithelially-enriched, zinc finger transcription factor. Results provide insight into the biochemical function of KLF4.

Klf4 gene disruption is linked to enhanced cellular proliferation and tumor formation

(Submitter supplied) Kruppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) is involved in diverse biological processes such as cell cycle control, differentiation, transcriptional regulation, DNA repair and apoptosis. Furthermore, KLF4 is a tumor suppressor and play a role in regulating genomic stability. In order to investigate the changes in gene expression in the klf4 null MEFs, we compared the gene expression patterns of the wild type and klf4 null by microarray.

Transcriptome Data of Peritoneal Macrophages Isolated from ApoE-/-/Ch25h-/- Mice

(Submitter supplied) Cholesterol 25-hydroxylase (Ch25h) has been previously demonstrated to be required for anti-inflammatory effect and anti-viral activity, while also promoting foam cell formation. In order to delineate the role of Ch25h in atherosclerosis, we isolated peritoneal macrophages (PMs) from mice lacking ApoE and Ch25h (i.e., ApoE-/-/Ch25h-/-) compared to their wildtype littermates (i.e., ApoE-/-/Ch25h+/+) for transcriptome analysis, in biological duplicates (n=12 pooled mice per group). more...

Transcriptome Data of KLF4 Overexpression in Human Umbilical Vein Endothelial Cells

(Submitter supplied) Atheroprotective flow (e.g., pulsatile shear stress) and statins drastically induce the expression of krüppel-like factor 4 (KLF4) in vascular endothelial cells (ECs). We therefore investigated the role of KLF4 in EC function through comparing the transciptional profiling of human umbilical vein endothelial cells (HUVECs) that were infected with adenovirus overexpression KLF4 (Ad-KLF4) or with empty vector (Ad-null) control. more...
