Title Analysis of microarray data reliability and pathway networks using experimental formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded tissue

Summary We assessed the usability of microarrays, which base on formalin-fixed paraffin-embedded (FFPE) tissue.
 
Overall design We used CX3CR1-CreERT2+/–/iDTR+/– mice, which were injected with tamoxifen and diphtheria toxin to induce the depletion of microglia cells. Tissue was harvested 10 days post injection. We included 4 depleted mice as well as 4 control mice that received tamoxifen injections only. From each mouse brain, the motor cortex and the somatosensory cortex were microdissected.
