Discrete brain areas were studied using an unbiased whole-transcript microarray approach (Ala92-Dio2 homozygotes vs Thr92-Dio2 homozygotes)
 
Overall design Thr92-Dio2 and Ala92-Dio2 mice were selected for RNA extraction and hybridization on Affymetrix microarrays. Here, we sought to characterize the genetic profile of the different areas of brain and how it differs between mice.
