Summary |
We analyzed gene expression in mice with a deletion of Xbp1 in their intestinal epithelial cells and their littermates during graft-versus-host disease. Xbp1 is a central transcription factor that mediates the unfolded protein response following endoplasmic reticulum stress.

Overall design |
Villin-Cre Xbp1 fl/fl mice (Knock-out, KO) and Xbp1 fl/fl (wildtype, WT) littermates underwent allogeneic hematopoietic cell transplantation in a major-mismatch-model with total body irradiation as a conditioning treatment. On day 14 after transplantation, RNA from the small intestine of recipient mice was isolated and Affymetrix microarrays were performed.
