Title Generation and characterization of human iPSC-derived microglia-like cells for the use in drug discovery
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary For the development of human cellular models of microglial that allow for exploring disease underlying mechanisms and testing potential therapeutic compounds on a larger scale we generated microglia-like cells from human induced pluripotent stem cells (iPSC) and performed subsequent phenotypic and functional testing and validation by using bulk RNASeq.

Overall design We compared the differentiation of myeloid progenitors for additional 14 days to microglia like-cells and compared these monocultures to already published co-cultures.
