Title Expression data from HepaRG human progenitor hepatic cells treated with different sources of Vitamin E and wheat germ oil.
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by array
Summary According with the hepatic protection role of Vitamin E (VE), clinical guidelines of gastroenterology societies are now supporting the administration of VE as first line treatment of Non-Alcoholic SteatoHepatitis (NASH).
We used microarrays to detail the transcriptional response obtained by pre-administration to HepaRG cell line of different sources of VE (WGO-VE, nVE and sVE) followed by exposure to oleic acid (OA) to induce conditions of steatosis

Overall design We compared transcriptional response of OA-treated HepaRG for 48 hours with transcriptional response of HepaRG pre-treated with different sources of VE for 24 hrs and subsequent 48 hours of treatment with OA.
