Title Transcriptome profiling of Normal and Cancerous Prostate Cells [RNA-Seq]
Organism Homo sapiens
Experiment type Expression profiling by high throughput sequencing
Summary To identify differentially expressed transcripts (both annotated and unannotated) in Cancer and Normal Prostate cells global transcript abundance was assayed by RNA-Sequencing.

Overall design RNA profiles of LNCaP and PrEC cell lines were generated by deep sequencing. Libraries were generated by Illumina TruSeq kits with PolyA+ selection (without maintaining strand information). The resultant cDNA libraries were sequenced at the Next Generation Genome Sequencing Facility (University of Western Sydney, Hawkesbury, NSW, Australia) using the Illumina HiSeq 1500 platform.
