Title |
EpCAM-Aptamer Toxin Conjugates for targeting tumors |
Organism |
Homo sapiens |
Experiment type |
Expression profiling by array
|
Summary |
Neocarzinostatin (NCS) is an anti-tumor DNA damaging agent. Conjugating NCS with EpCAM Aptamer will direct the toxin pay loads to the EpCAM positive cancer cells as a targeted therapy We used microarrays to detail the global gene expression to understand the pathways involved in EpCAM-mediated NCS drug delivery in breast cancer cells.

Overall design |
MCF-7 breast cancer cells were cultured and treated with Neocarzinostatin and Neocarzinostatin-EpCAM Aptamer conjugate for the duration of 24h. RNA was extracted from cells and hybridized onto Affymetrix Human PrimeView arrays. To understand the changes in the transcriptome, we have included untreated MCF-7 cells (Controls; C1, C2) along with treated cells (N1, N2, NC1, NC2).
