Treatment protocol |
Two treatment groups were established: 1 receiving interferon beta and 1 untreated control group. Interferon-treatment group received 8ng/mL interferon beta 1 treatment for 12 hours prior to coxsackievirus B3 infection. Both groups were infected with CVB3 at MOI 5. Cells were harvested at 8 hours after infection.

Growth protocol |
hiPSC-CMs after 30 days of differentiation (see Lian et al 2012) were purified and replated into 96 wells at a density of 40,000 cells per well.

Extraction protocol |
All samples were harvested in Trizol. RNA was extracted with the miRNeasy kit (Qiagen). cDNA was synthesized using a High Capacity cDNA Reverse Transcription Kit (Applied Biosystems, Foster City, CA)
