Data processing Alignment: Sequence reads were obtained using the Illumina CASAVA v1.8.2. Reads were aligned against the human hg18 reference genome (NCBI Build 36.1) using the Bowtie aligner. All reads mapping with two or fewer mismatches were retained and read starts were summed in sliding windows of 200 bp to create summary windows.
Peaks: Peak detection and Superenhancer identification were performed with the HOMER software suite (http://biowhat.ucsd.edu/homer/).
Genome_build: hg18
Supplementary_files_format_and_content: bowtie files are alignments made from fastq files with the Bowtie aligner; bedGraph files were generated on Homer and can be visualized on the UCSC genome browser; peak and superenhancer files were generated using Homer.
