The anterior intestine was isolated from 6 animals. Total RNA were extracted from the intestines with the Nucleospin RNAII kit (Machery-Nagel, Hoerdt, France).

30 micrograms of total RNAs of the pool of 6 animals were used to generate the long-SAGE library using the I-SAGE Long kit (Invitrogen, Cergy Pointoise, France).
