The anterior intestine was isolated from 8 animals. Total RNA were extracted from the intestines using the WIZTM RNA isolation reagent (Ambion, France).

30 micrograms of total RNAs of the pool of 8 animals were used to generate the long-SAGE library using the I-SAGE Long kit (Invitrogen, Cergy Pointoise, France).
